After studying theatre in Toronto, Rick worked for over two decades in regional theatre, winning over audiences in dozens of productions from classic plays to murder mysteries to new workshop productions, with the occasional foray into film and television.
Since moving to the Quinte region in 2002, Rick has appeared in productions with the Stirling Festival Theatre, Festival Players of Prince Edward County, and Moonpath Productions at the Empire Theatre in Belleville. He has also worked backstage, taught theatre workshops, directed, built sets, and marketed shows to new audiences. He is a familiar face as host or emcee at various special events and fundraisers in the region, promoting the arts and local non-profit organizations.
In 2019, Rick will be directing River & Main’s production of The Friends of Freddie Sullivan before returning to the role of Stanley Olmstead in This is Rosewood, Tales from the Tavern, River & Main’s inaugural production from 2017.
Rick is also the creative force behind Stagecoach, River & Main’s exciting new workshop program for emerging theatre artists.
